This policy covers the Baby Notes iPhone app and this website. Neslihan Yildiz is responsible for the personal data the business handles, which is limited to what’s described below.

Everything you enter about your baby, including their name, birth date, entries and moments, is stored on your iPhone. It isn’t sent to our servers. We don’t process it, we can’t see it, and we have no copy of it.

While you’re signed in to iCloud with iCloud Drive on for Baby Notes, the app backs up to its own folder in your iCloud Drive. The backup holds your entries, settings and small previews of moments. Full photos and videos stay in your own photo library. The backup is in your Apple account, under Apple’s terms, and we can’t open it.

If you allow it, the app shows photos and videos you add to moments from your library, and saves photos you take there. They’re never sent anywhere. Reminders and nudges are scheduled on your phone.

To buy, restore and check Plus, the app shares information with Apple and our payment provider. This includes an anonymous ID created for the app, your App Store purchase details and basic technical details, such as your device type, operating system, locale and currency. Like any online service, the provider may see your IP address when the app connects.

The app doesn’t send our payment provider your baby’s name, birth date or entries, any photo, or your name, email or contacts. Payment is handled by Apple, and we never see your card.

Baby Notes has no ads and doesn’t track you across apps or websites. We don’t sell data.

You can read every guide without an account. This website uses no analytics, tracking scripts or cookies. Like most websites, its hosting provider may record technical details, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. If you email us, we use your email only to reply.

• Support emails, to answer you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in helping people who contact us.
• Website hosting records, to run and protect the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping it working and secure.

We keep support emails and purchase records only as long as we need them for these purposes, or as the law requires. What you log stays on your phone and in your iCloud until you delete it.

Your data may be processed in other countries, including the United States, with safeguards required by law.

Deleting the app removes what it stored on your phone. To remove your backup too, delete it from Baby Notes’ data in your iPhone’s iCloud settings. For purchase records, email us or ask Apple.

Baby Notes is for parents and caregivers, not for children to use. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data. Because we don’t hold what you log, you control most of it directly on your phone. For anything else, email us.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
